ART
Han de Leeuwerk
As a child I love to paint and draw. In spite of my desire, I studied Law and Economics. It took until my late forties before I decided to return to my childhood love and commit myself to painting and drawing and changed my career.
My work is mainly realistic and figurative and is inspired by what I see - and imagine to see - in my immediate surroundings. I choose my images and colors based on feeling and environment. This leads to the necessary diversity, not only in terms of subjects, but also because techniques and style of painting may differ. That contributes to my own development and prevents that painting becomes a trick!
My work - whether or not commissioned - is purchased by both private individuals and companies.
